Angular Cheilitis is not a disease but an inflammation caused on one or both sides of the mouth. They are sores that cause great dryness and eventually red lesions. It remains near the lips and does not usually spread to other parts.

Honey contains antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties and is thus a great natural remedy for treating angular cheilitis. Honey helps in the killing of the microorganisms that cause this condition in the first place. It is advised to apply a generous amount of honey on the affected area for at least 15 minutes.
