The fungal infection that develops in groin area is called jock itch. Jock itch can cause redness, burning sensation, flaking skin and irritation. In some cases, the fungal infection spreads to the butts and inner thighs. This infection commonly occurs in body creases where the temperature is warm and moisture is present and is common in people who are overweight and those sweat excessively. The appearance of rashes in the infected skin is the first symptom of jock itch.
The new rashes are bright red in color, scaly and raised while the older ones become reddish brown. Skin irritation causes an urge to scratch the affected area. Regular itching can make the bruises and make the skin sore. Lack of hygiene and harsh detergents also lead to itching. If not treated, pus may develop around the infected area. Some simple home remedies can help you cure the problem:-
Garlic:
Take two spoons of garlic paste. Add one teaspoon honey. Mix it well. Apply this on the infected area and allow it to dry. After which wash it off with normal water.
Baking Soda:
Make a paste by mixing baking soda and little water. Apply this paste on the affected area. Leave it for about 20 to 25 minutes then wash it off with normal water.
Salt:
Fill a bathtub with hot water, just right for you to bath in. Sprinkle generous amount of salt in it. Soak yourself in this water for bout fifteen to twenty minutes. Salt will help in drying up the blisters. Repeat this twice daily.
Coconut Oil:
Take coconut oil and white vinegar in equal parts. Stir it properly. Apply the solution on the infected area and leave it for some hours before washing it. Keep repeating this until you are cured of your problem. You can also apply coconut oil on the infected area twice a day to cure this infection.
Apple Cider Vinegar:

In a glass of warm water, add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. stir it well. Rinse the infected area with this liquid. Do it at least twice or thrice a day, especially before going to bed.
Vinegar:
Take one tablespoon of vinegar and add four tablespoons of water to this. Soak a cloth in this solution and wash the infected area gently and thoroughly. Let it dry on its own and you need not rinse it off. Do this once or twice daily.
